A Walk Through Tuscany

This piece was painted as a companion piece to Tuscan Vineyard, with the same feel and theme. In Tuscany its all about one thing the grapes! My vision was to give it a softness that is calming and restful. Like a walk after dinner. Mountain Meadow Sunset

The incredible Tuscan sunsets are, in my mind, something I want to remember. That was the inspiration for this pieceI added the broken path. Few may have walked here, but only a lucky few. Maybe it was someone who loves poppies as much as I do, who was tempted to take a closer look. I […]

Maybe it was someone who loves poppies as much as I do, who was tempted to take a closer look. I was hoping to promote a sense of awe with the sunset in the distance. Via Nacosta (Hidden Pathway)

Gorgeous cypress trees are lit up from behind as the sun sets and the warm light affects everything in the picture. I love how they grow in groups as if they don’t want to be by themselves. I also love the simplicity of a small trail and the wonderering of what might be just around […]

Gorgeous cypress trees are lit up from behind as the sun sets and the warm light affects everything in the picture. I love how they grow in groups as if they don’t want to be by themselves. I also love the simplicity of a small trail and the wonderering of what might be just around the corner, sensing that it will be amazing, even if I don’t know what it might be. This was one of my favorite paintings to create based on the light, and the simplicity of the subject, allowing me to play with strokes and texture. In this piece the goal was to keep a simple composition with the grapes and vineyard the subject matter. I wanted the piece to have a soft and calming feel, like at the end of a day when you take a deep breath. For me, it was to feel like I was reminiscing on events of the day and feeling grateful to be where I am. This piece has a companion piece, A Walk Through Tuscany. Enchanted Vineyard

When thinking about Tuscany it promotes a very romantic feeling. What is more romantic then a sunset, Vineyards, an old farmhouse, and a little road that leads to more. In my minds eye, this is a place I want to see when I travel to Italy and will be so happy when I run into […]

When thinking about Tuscany it promotes a very romantic feeling. What is more romantic then a sunset, Vineyards, an old farmhouse, and a little road that leads to more. In my minds eye, this is a place I want to see when I travel to Italy and will be so happy when I run into it and think, “ Wow, it looks just like I imagined it!” My favorite part about painting this piece…romancing the light. Spoleto Italy, Ponte Della Terre

This piece was commissioned by a collector who spent time in Spoleto. The research I did was so Interesting. I’m always very interested in Italy anyway, and love the landscape there. This piece was commissioned by a collector who spent time in Spoleto. The research I did was so Interesting. I’m always very interested in Italy anyway, and love the landscape there. This Aqueduct Is Named Ponte Della Torre and nestled next to it on the hillside is the fortress Rocca Albornoziana. The Aqueduct was built by hand in the 14th century and has the gothic arch shapes which are so common in Italy. How is it, that things like this bridge, built so long ago and by hand, are in such good shape today. The age of the Italian architecture never seems to stop amazing me. Available...
