This piece was commissioned by a collector who spent time in Spoleto. The research I did was so Interesting. I’m always very interested in Italy anyway, and love the landscape there. This Aqueduct Is Named Ponte Della Torre and nestled next to it on the hillside is the fortress Rocca Albornoziana. The Aqueduct was built by hand in the 14th century and has the gothic arch shapes which are so common in Italy. How is it, that things like this bridge, built so long ago and by hand, are in such good shape today. The age of the Italian architecture never seems to stop amazing me.
